Part-time Freelance Copywriters
Chinese Copywriter (Full-time Contractor)
Full-time contractor position for experienced agency copywriter fluent in English & Mandarin. Reports to the Copywriter Group Head, and works closely with Dae’s Co-Creative Directors.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years copywriting experience at advertising agency, preferably in bilingual environment
- Fluency in English & Mandarin required; additional fluency in Cantonese highly desirable.
Duties:
- Responsible for writing clear, strategically-focused copy (primarily Chinese and sometimes English, if needed) for all client and in-house assignments, including TV and radio commercials, print ads and other collateral materials.
- Back-translate all Chinese copy to English for client’s approval.
- Proofread all outgoing pieces to ensure maximum accuracy. If languages other than Chinese and English are involved, work with the production team to send the artwork to outside in-language proofreaders.
- Keep current in understanding clients’ requirements regarding the tone and style of copy, nomenclature, brand guidelines and other mandatory copy.
- Review and edit copy and back-translations created by other freelance copywriters/translators.
- Coordinate radio productions.
- Work with other members of the Creative team to come up with ideas on client and internal projects.
- Contribute to ongoing process and workflow improvement.
- Provide final and approved copy to the production team for final artwork production.
- File all the copy documents in an organized and easy-to-track manner.
- Maintain contact with freelancers; responsible for cost-control and processing of invoices.
Compensation:
- Negotiable hourly rate depending on experience
