Greg Chew Co-founder, Director of Community Relations

In 1990, Greg co-founded DAE with the belief that businesses winning the hearts and minds of the new America will be rewarded. With his start in mainstream advertising agencies, he was one of the original creative team behind the highly successful ‘California Dancing Raisins’ campaign.

Greg serves in numerous community organizations, among them the Asian Business League, the Chinese Cultural Foundation, Asian CineVision and the American Red Cross - Bay Area Chapter.

In 2004, he was appointed by San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom to serve as Film Commissioner, to help revitalize the city’s film industry; in 2008 he served as the city’s Immigrant Rights Commissioner. Most recently, Greg was appointed as Arts Commissioner. He believes that a creative cultural environment is essential to a city’s well being.

Greg teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Marketing, Advertising, and Design at Academy of Art University, San Jose State University and UC Berkeley Extension.
